La sede del Forum Austriaco di Cultura a Roma è un edificio costruito dall´architetto austriaco Karl Holey tra il 1935 ed il 1938 che si erge a Viale Bruno Buozzi, ai margini del parco di Villa Borghese. L’edificio ospita anche l’Istituto Storico presso il Forum Austriaco di Cultura a Roma e una biblioteca che, con più di 100.000 volumi, rappresenta la maggiore raccolta bibliografica austriaca all’estero. Sia la sala della biblioteca che il giardino, nella sua collocazione così felice, fungono da cornice per le varie attività culturali.
Il Forum Austriaco di Cultura, come rappresentanza culturale ufficiale della Repubblica d’Austria in Italia, si impegna a presentare il mondo culturale austriaco nel modo più aperto e variegato cercando di trasmettere un’immagine ricca e molteplice dell’Austria contemporanea.
Si propone anche come punto d’incontro tra artisti e organizzazioni culturali austriaci e italiani, attraverso la molteplicità di progetti in tutti gli ambiti dell’arte e della creatività contemporanea.

The Austrian Culture Forum in Rome is a building designed by Austrian architect Karl Holey between 1935 and 1938 situated in Viale Bruno Buozzi, on the edge of the Villa Borghese park. The building also houses the Historical Institute at the Austrian Culture Forum in Rome and a library with over 100,000 volumes, the largest Austrian book collection abroad. Both the library and garden with its lovely setting are frequently the venue for various cultural activities. As the official cultural representative of the Republic of Austria in Italy the Austrian Culture Forum undertakes to present the Austrian cultural world in the most open-minded and varied fashion with the aim of diffusing a multifaceted image of contemporary Austria.
We also act as a meeting place for artists and Austrian and Italian cultural organisations through a multitude of projects in all fields of art and contemporary creativity.
